The biggest advantage of blogger is its always active server, which is a great support from Google.

Disadvantages of Blogger:

While blogger may have some distinct advantages owing to the back end support from Google, blogger may restrict the type of content, one post online as Google may interrupt the post. The number of postings per day is also restricted and one cannot post more than 50 posts per day.

Typepad has gained imminent acceptance amongst those looking for creativity and innovation. Typepad has numerous advantages as compared to other market entrants though you will also find distinct problems in Typepad.

Advantages of Typepad:

Typepad is a great find for those in business as it offers a domain name. You will have complete control over the blog and can decide the design of the blog. You will be able to moderate the comments and decide for yourself, if you need any advertisement display in the blog. Typepad offers integration with Facebook making this blogging platform a virtual necessity for those thinking of promoting business through Facebook.

Drupal and Tumblr are some other blogging platforms available for those interested in promoting their content through blogging platforms. Drupal is open source software that has a large community of users. Similarly, Tumblr is a micro blogging platform that has over 46 million blogs published till date.
