Lets Design Twitter Bird in Photoshop

Twitter is very common social bookmarking site. Almost every person is having an account on this site. People are sharing their knowledge with each other through this site. Twitter is the sound of bird and that is why Twitter is having a lot of Bird Icons. Today we are going to make a one icon in Photoshop. The purpose is to tell you some designing techniques and skills. 1. Lets start with a new file of any size, I’m going to take 560×400 px size with 72 DPI resolution and RGB color mode. 2. Pick Ellipse tool and draw a circle (no worries about color). 3. Now run the command Layer >> Layer Style >> Gradient Overlay and then Bevel and Emboss and give the following settings: Hit Ok and you will get this: 4. As it will be the Head part of the Bird, so now we are going to give some detailing. First of all right click on the name of this ellipse layer and select Copy Layer Style (it will copy both blending options, so later you can use it again). Take new layer above this layer. I’ve already read a tutorial about making Icons in Photoshop, but here is very simple and short technique to make Icons in Photoshop, beginners will really enjoy making this tutorial as it is not complicated one. So hopefully you will like it. 1. Lets start with a new document of size 560x560px with RGB color mode and 72 resolution, with black background. Now draw a Circle having white color by using Ellipse Tool . 2. Now run the command Layer >> Layer Style >> Stroke and give the following setting: 3. Don’t hit ok, click on Gradient Overlay and make the Following Gradient, I’ve mentioned color numbers: 4. When you hit OK, the following effect should come: 5. Goto Layer Panel and click on the Thumbnail of the Circle layer by holding Ctrl (cmd) key: 6. Now pick Elliptical Marque Tool  and from the Property Panel switch on ‘Intersect with Selection’ icon .
