Today we are going to work on Delicious Pie Design in Photoshop, in this Photoshop Tutorial we are going to use some of the basic tools and commands. We will be covering Pen tool, Ellipse Tool, Rectangular Marquee Tool, Bucket Tool etc. We will also be studying the use of Inner Glow, Outer Glow, Pattern Overlay etc. So lets start working over Simple but important Photoshop Tutorial.
Here is the Final Result of Delicious Pie Design in Photoshop:
Step 1: New File
Start out by creating a new file. Use the following settings;
- Dimensions: 600×560px,
- Resolution: 72dpi,
- Color Mode RGB color.
Then, fill your background canvas to #351A0B color shade using the Paink Bucket Tool.
Step 2:
Create a new layer set and name it Pie. Now, create a new layer, and draw a large white circle with 282 x 282 px dimensions.
Step 3:
Add an Inner Glow style to the large white circle layer. Use the settings provided on the step image below.

Create a new layer. Draw a large light brown circle with #E6BC70 color shade on the center of the plate. Then, draw a bunch of random ellipses on the circle’s edges to create a unique shape.
Step 5:
Add an Inner Glow and Pattern Overlay styles to the light brown circle layer.

In a new layer, draw a unique black circle on the center of the pie design.
Step 7:
Add an Inner Glow style to the unique black circle layer. Then, set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Create a new layer set and name it Top. Now, create a new layer. Then, using the Pen Tool , draw the wavy shape shown below.
Step 9:
Now duplicate the wavy shape three times and position them as shown below. Then, duplicate the shape four more times and place them in a vertical position.
Step 10:
Highlight the ‘TOP’ layer set on the Layers Window and go to Layer > Merge layer set. The layer set should transform into a regular layer. Then, add an Outer Glow and Pattern Overlay styles.
