This job is well suited to those who are analytical, solution focused, and great communicators. The main roles here are examining current IT systems, models, and system requirements, undertaking product development and adapt systems to integrate new features and improve the efficiency and productivity of a business. It also involves identifying any options for possible solutions, and assessing both their technical and business suitability. You may work with colleagues such as developers, testers, and a range of end users, to determine whether you’ve achieved technical compatibility and user satisfaction, and further support users with system updates. You can either work in an office, or at home – many businesses nowadays often outsource programmer analysts, so you may be able to work flexibly. Responsibilities in visiting clients may also require you to travel, both at home and overseas, meaning you can get a variety of experiences through becoming a programmer analyst, as well as working with some of the latest technology.

Cyber Security Analyst:

Being a cyber security analyst has a lot of flexibility, depending on your own preferences. Usually, they work either in consulting and offering advice and services to clients, or they work for an organization, putting things in place to protect their security. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in both security and technology is key to this role, to know the best way to keep protected from cyber-attacks, and develop advanced analytic tools to discover any threat patterns or vulnerabilities. You can also engage in “ethical hacking”, to simulate security breaches and test out your own security design. This job is great for people who love a challenge as well as problem solving, and is an exciting way to put the skills you’ve learnt to use.

Web Developer:

This is one of the jobs that is in the highest demand, and for good reason. Nowadays, everything is done online, and the online marketplace for businesses to sell their products and advertise their brand is far more important than word of mouth or physical advertising. As a web developer, you’ll be involved in creating applications or services for companies that are reliable and high performing. Most often, web developers work on the back end, meaning they’re right at the heart of a website, designing the code, software and databases, but some work at the front end too, with the interface and visual design.
