The designing industry is one of the most thriving industries in the modern times and anyone seeking a career in this field is welcomed with open arms. But it is also true that the design world does not give you a margin if you are not ready to put your heart in it. To make a design project is what attracts a client but it is not simply the design that does the job. The website needs to be developed in the right way. And whether it’s designing or developing, one cannot bear a fruit until some effort is put into it.

Designers either freelance or independent have primary concern of earning their bread and butter from their skills, however; they often lack in selling their services to right client. Most of the designers often have thick list of potential client lists which remain in the list mainly due to designer’s deficiency of bringing them on board by turning lead in sale. The reason of this attitude is numerous and one cannot really categorize it, hence; we can safely say that designers probably don’t have this skill by nature. It does not mean they cannot acquire it.

The responsibilities of a web designer are not limited to a beautiful layout. Yes, this is considered to be the most important thing; however, there is a lot of other stuff that a web designer has to take care of. Apart from blog designing, it should be user friendly. Users should be able to navigate through various pages with ease. Not only this, web designers are expected to design a website which is compatible on all platforms and browsers. The log list of responsibilities does not end her as the website should be quick and easy to load and should come across as a very strong competition to competitor’s website.

It does not matter how beautiful the dress is, if you are not comfortable with it., the dress is a complete waste. Same goes for a website, if your design usability looks great but is not easy to use, your website is a failure. However, this does not mean that you should not focus on the layout. Beautiful and attractive layout is important however, then your priority should be easy navigation.

Everyone wants to earn more money even though he works or not for it. The attraction of big sums and to raise your designing rates of your projects always exist. It may sounds greedy but it does not change the fact. In the case of freelancers, they really want to ask for high price for their services, however; they could not do so because of fear of losing the client.

Every opportunity brings good or bad experience depending upon the way you take advantage of it. The same rule can be applied on successful design intern. Internships can provide you with invaluable experience and can be proved as a stepping stone in one’s career. Moreover, it has also been highly desired pre-requisite of numerous giant corporations. I am sure no one has ever heard of any entrepreneur discrediting the worth of on-job experience. Every industry has its own job criteria and requirements to hold on to it. The design industry is versatile and expects a lot from people in it. So, a person who has yet to start his career from successful design intern should consider reading or recommending the tips I am about to give.

Time is getting rough and laying many designers off their jobs. The global economy seems to recover whereas; designers are still in the midst of recession. The reason behind is quite simple. Today, an average internet surfer can set up his own website without acquiring any formal knowledge like a professional designer. Thanks to WordPress who has made it easy for naïve people to have their own website.

Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success”.  I term this as the most valuable and simple definition of team work. However, we need to dissect this quote and try to find out its practicality for the field of web design and development. Here the question arises that does individuality ruin the chance of success? The question does not need my readers to be a rocket scientist. It is crystal clear that working in team has its advantages far greater than disadvantages.
